Active gardener, horticulturalist, consultant and lover of nature. I gained my love of plants while getting my degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Finger Lakes Community College in upstate NY. After that I spent time doing a number of different jobs in the horticultural industry. From retail garden center and nursery sales, to working the Lawn and Garden department at two different retail chains. I was employed for several years in commercial landscape maintenance and once owned my own residential landscaping company.
Now that I have a different career, I find myself falling in love with plants all over again. Maybe it's the "hobby" aspect? Maybe because the pressure to earn a living is off and I can just do what I enjoy. Whatever the reason I have renewed my love affair with growing things and want top share that with other like-minded individuals.
